There are 2 main reasons for a white laptop screen:
- A defective LCD screen or motherboard (where the graphics are integrated), or
- A loose connection between the video cable and the laptop screen.
Usually the reason is #2, which can be fixed by reconnecting the video cable. If not, then you'll need to replace the laptop screen.
